Maryland’s Best Karate was founded in 1989 by Dojangnim (Founder) Gerald “Awesome” Dawson (10th Dan) , a NASKA Super Heavy Weight fighting World Champion. Dojangnim Dawson , first priority was to serve the community and bring structure and love to under privileged youth. As years went on Dojangnim Dawson went on to build an amazing martial arts empire that still stands today.
